Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m). Overnight in Hotel

As you fly into Kathmandu, you'll have beautiful views over the valley, the snow capped mountain peaks in Himalaya, and of the terraced fields below. As per your arrival time, our representative will be at the airport to receive you and transfer you to your booked hotel.

Day 02: Mountain Flight Tour over Mt. Everest & other 8000 m. mountains, Sightseeing Tour to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath & Patan Durbar Square. Overnight in Hotel

Pashupatinath Temple

Situated 5 kilometers east of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.

Boudhanath Stupa

This Stupa, 8 kilometers east of Kathmandu City, is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behaviour and human prosperity. This Buddhis Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.

Patan

Patan is the nicest old royal place of the Kathmandu valley. Among three major cities of the valley first human settlement was in Patan. This city also is known as Lalitpur(City of fine arts). The meaning of Patan is flat land. According to the history here was not the stable king. Sometimes it would be under Kathmandu and some time under Bhaktapur. The icons of Narashimha(half human half lion) and the Hanuman(monkey god) is located at the entrance gate. Krishna Temple( made out of stones with 21 pinnacles), pagoda temples, main palace with Keshav Narayan Chok, art museum, 5th century public tap known as manga Hiti, five stored temple( Kumbheshwor) and golden temple(mini monkey temple with some Bihar) and oldest Buddhist stupas around Patan are the main attractions of Patan city. There are many artists who make the icons of the Hindu and Buddhist deities. Krishna Janmashtami festival and some other Newari festivals are nice to see in Patan. 

Day 03: Trishuli River Rafting, Further transfer to Pokhara. Overnight in Hotel

 Trisuli River is an excellent river for those searching for a short river trip without the challenge of huge rapids. With the Trishuli River Rafting Tour, you will explore the Trishuli River’s waterway with the help of an inflatable raft.

Trishuli river is around a 96 Km ride away from the capital city, Kathmandu. After we arrive at the Trishuli Riverbank, a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu, we will give you some safety hardware, such as gears, Life coats, and head protectors. Then we have a brief presentation on dos and don’ts. After some training meetings, we will start the river rafting.

The river flows consistently, and you will use the pontoon to discover the waterway and move along. You will see the most picturesque and separated miles during your river rafting trip, highlighting the blue water and the stunning hills. As you move along the astounding rapids slicing through the differed geography along the river, you will overlook each agony and continue grinning.

Pokhara is situated at an elevation of 915m above sea level and 200m west of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The richness of valley in pure natural beauty is indeed one of the main attractions to the visitors from all over the world. Just imagine the joy of observing the majestic Himalayas, three peaks above 8000m from an elevation of below 1000m within a very close aerial, distance. The valley is equally superb giving as they do elevated close-ups to the snowy peaks. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence summits like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6977m) and the five peaks of Annapurna range rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. Pokhara is the land of the Magars and Gurungs who have earned worldwide fame as Gurkha soldiers. Brahmins, Chhetris and Thakalis are other major communities here.

Day 04: Sightseeing Tour to International Mountain Museum, David’s Fall, Gupteshwar Cave and World Peace Pagoda. Overnight in Hotel

SIGHTSEEING PLACES

INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN MUSEUM: This expansive museum is devoted to the mountains of Nepal, the mountaineers who climbed them and the people who call them home. Inside, you can see original gear from many of the first Himalayan ascents, as well as displays on the history, culture, geology, and flora and fauna of the Himalaya.

DAVID’S FALL: Locally known as the Patale Chhango (Hell's Fall). David's Fall (also known as Devin's and Devi's) is a lovely waterfall lying about two km south-west of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Legend has it that a trekker called David as washed away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared into an underground passage beneath the fall.

GUPTESHWOR CAVE: Gupteshwor Cave is also known as the Gupteshwor Gupha. The Gupteshwor Cave holds a special religious importance especially to the local people. This cave is regarded holy by the Hindus. The main highlight of the site is the Shivalinga, the phallic symbol of the Lord Shiva. The linga is preserved here in the condition it was discovered. It is just across the Devi’s Fall. From the end of the cave, you can see the view of Davis Fall.

WORLD PEACE PAGODA: The World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara Nepal is painted a brilliant white and sits atop a hill overlooking the Annapurna Mountain range which reflects off Lake Phewa Tal below. It is thusly one of the more serene peace pagodas in the world. Built just after World War 2 by Buddhist monks from Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji organization the World Peace Pagoda is one of over 80 world peace pagodas in the world today. They are built to inspire peace for all races & creeds.

Day 05: Drive to Chitwan National Park – 5 hrs drive, Overnight in Hotel

It is about 160 Km from Kathmandu, which takes about 5 hours. You will have a scenic drive following the corridor of the Trishuli River.

The Chitwan National Park is widely acknowledged as one of the best national parks in Asia, it lies in the Terai region of southern Nepal. Diverse combination of nature is found here in providing a perfect habitat of wildlife. It harbors many globally threatened species including the Royal Bengal Tiger, great one-horned Rhino, Gharial crocodile, Asian Elephant, Sloth bear, Leopard etc.

Day 06: Jungle Safari Activities at Chitwan National Park, Overnight in Hotel

During your stay in National Chitwan Park you are going to come through various nature and cultural program such as: Canoe Trip: You can enjoy canoe trip on either The Rapti River or The Budhi Rapti River which border the National Park. You can see two types of crocodiles, the Gharial and Mugger basking on the river bank.

Bird Watching: For the bird watchers, it is Paradise Island with over 450 species of exotic birds of domestic as well as migratory birds. Many are threatened, e.g. the Great pied hornbill, Bengal Florican, Peregrine falcon, lesser adjutant storks, etc. A bird watching trip will be a memorable experience.

Jungle Drive: A tour by four wheel drive in the less distributed areas of the park to track the rarer species. You will visit Ox-bow Lake and museum of historic interest relating to the park. However during this period we will visit 20,000 areas which afford a varied experience of birds and mammals.

Nature Walk: Our experienced naturalists will accompany you to the more specialized habitats. This is the ideal opportunity to explore and experience at closer quarters and beauty of the flora and fauna. The authority of the naturalist must be closely observed to obviate any risks from wildlife attacks.

Elephant Breeding Centre: This is the first Elephant breeding centre in Asia. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies. This centre is government owned and its purpose is to raise the young elephants, and to train them to convey tourist around the region.

Village Tour: Excursion in Tharu village will grant you an exhilarating experience. Tharus are the indigenous inhabitant of the Terai. We offer guided cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life.

Cultural Program: In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of Tharu folk dance. The drummers and symbolic stick dancers perform traditional movements and invite guests to join them in this rhythmic display. Such cultural shows performed by Tharus will be an unforgettable experience. The Tharus in traditional colorful costumes, unique in their disparity with the common mode of dress all over Nepal, are sure to captivate you.

Elephant Bathing: Your guide will take you to the specific place where you can observe elephant bathing.

Crocodile Walk: One more option is to go for crocodile walk. It goes through grassland and forest along the bank of Rapti / Narayani river.

Day 07: Drive to Kathmandu, Overnight in Hotel.

Today, you will depart Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu. After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. You have the afternoon and the evening to stroll along the streets of Kathmandu for some last-minute shopping. In the evening, there will be organized a Farewell Dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with Nepali folk music and dance.

Day 08: Fly out from Kathmandu

As per your flight time you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or any other destinations. The airport check-in is 3 hours prior to the departure time and the hotel checkout time is 12 PM.

Necessary Information

Visa to Nepal

You can obtain the Nepalese visa from Nepalese consulate in your country easily or upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. For that, you require a valid passport with 2 copies of passport size photos. Similarly, a visa for Nepal can be obtained at Nepal India border entry point at Birgunj, Nepalgunj, Kakadvitta, Bhairahawa, Gaddachowki and Kodari on the Nepal China border.

Accommodation

There are different categories of hotels, from budget tourist standard hotels to 5 star hotels along with boutique hotels in Nepal.

Transportation

We use comfortable and reliable private tourist car, jeep, vans or microbuses to transport our guests. These lightweight vehicles are maneuverable in the narrow roads of Nepal. You will have a vehicle, a guide and a licensed driver at your disposal at all times. We use our own Fleet service for Transportation.

Size and type of vehicle depend on size of your group. We use two-seater car for 1-2 persons, micro luxury 6-seater van for 3-5 persons, 10-seater van for 6-9 persons and tourist coach or coaster for group size above 10 persons. Our drivers are specially trained to serve in the hospitality industry. The vehicles are checked carefully before assigning to your service.

Tipping

Tips are not mandatory. However you can tip your support team if you wish for, according to your budget and appreciation of their work. Normally, tip amounts for 5-10% of your total budget. All fees to sightseeing places stated in tour package are included in our cost.

Clothing

Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. From April to the end of October, it is warm in Kathmandu. In Nepal clothing for traveling purpose should be comfortable and light. You can also wear longer shorts provided that it is weather- friendly. In the months of November to the end of March, days are usually warm and evenings are cool. Put on your summer clothes during the day time but in the evening and night it is advisable to carry a light jacket. Winter season starts from December to February. One must be equipped with sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc to stay protected from the cold. In accordance to Nepali weather you can have your clothes well-packed in your luggage or you can also purchase clothes of your choice and needs from the clothing stores in Nepal.

Booking Procedure

Your booking of this tour will be confirmed by email once we receive your deposit of 20% of the total trip and the signed copy of booking form and contract. The balance is due no later than two months prior to departure. If you book a tour less than 2 months prior to departure, you must send the full payment within 7 days of confirmation by us.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the following scale of charges will apply:

  • 2 months before departure – Loss of deposit (20% of the total trip)
  • 29 days to 2 months before departure – 30% of total trip cost
  • 10 to 28 days before departure – 60% of total trip cost
  • Less than 10 days before departure – 100% of total trip cost
