1. What is the history of Kathmandu valley?

According to myths, Kathmandu valley was a lake until the Tibetan saint, Manjushree,flew down to Kathmandu. Upon seeing the huge lake, he cut the Chobhar ridge in half with his mighty sword and drained the waters to allow civilization to flourish in the fertile sacred valley.

2. How old is Kathmandu Valley?

The Kathmandu Valley may have been inhabited as early as 300 BCE, since the oldest known objects in the valley date to a few hundred years BCE. The earliest known inscription is dated 185 CE.

3. How many languages are spoken in Nepal?

There are official 123 spoken languages in Nepal. The major language spoken is Nepali.

4. What are the world heritage sites of Nepal?

5. How many UNESCO heritage sites are there in Nepal?

There are four UNESCO world heritage listed sites (Two Cultural, Two Natural) Kathmandu Valley(1979),Lumbini,the Birthplace of the Lord Buddha (1997) Chitwan National Park (1984),Sagarmatha National Park (1979).

6. Are we allowed to take photographs of the places we visit during the tour?

Yes, you are allowed to take pictures of the places. However, taking photographs in certain areas need permission and you can consult your tour guide for that matter.Please do seek permission of people before taking their pictures.

7. Is there any interesting festival and event in Nepal?

Nepal is never short of festivals and wild national celebrations. Big and small, altogether there are up to 300 festivals in Nepal each year. One thing for sure is that most of the festivals have much to do with Hinduism.

Some widely-celebrated Nepal festivals are known as Dashain, the grandest and longest annual festival in Nepal; Holi, the most colorful and exciting festival, Buddha Jayanti, the celebration for the birth of Lord Buddha, Ghode Jatra, the horse parade festival; Tihar,the worship for the Goddess of Wealth, and Teej, the Nepali women’s festival.

8. What kind of Ground Transportation is used in Tours?

We have a fleet of latest model luxury vehicles of all types and sizes, from small two-seater luxury cars to large capacity luxury tourist coaches. 4WD Land Cruisers are used in off-road destinations like Jiri and Manang. Size and type of vehicle depend on size of your group. We use two-seater car for 1-2 persons, micro luxury 6-seater van for 3-5 persons, 10 seater van for 6-9 persons and tourist coach or coaster for group size above 10 persons.
