Detailed Itinerary
We leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive for two hours to reach Kakani. Once we reach Kakani hill station, we can right away see the locals selling the famous Kakani strawberries, plums, peaches, and other seasonal fruits. The mountains may already be seen from here, particularly the Ganesh Himal, Paldor Himal, and Langtang range. Annapurna, Lamjung, and Manaslu Ranges also can be seen on clear weather days.
The initial half of the hike is quite difficult, as the pathways gradually become more difficult until we reach the checkpoint. We traverse through some residences and numerous strawberry fields.
We continue till we reach the Suryachaur meadow offering a picturesque view of the Himalayan ranges, deep valleys, and surrounding landscapes.
After spending time at Suryachaur, we will continue our hiking adventure further down to Gurje Bhanjyang at 1800 meters elevation which is the prime destination of this journey.
We reach the Bhanjyang after nearly half an hour of descending. Upon reaching Bhanjyang, we will be gifted with a spectacular close-up vista of the Himalayas again such as Manaslu, Lamjung, and Ganesh. The hill station also offers beautiful sights of the rivers and valleys.
