The trek to Everest Base Camp is difficult due to the distance and acclimatization requirements. You should be prepared to walk for six to seven hours every day.
The journey to Base Camp is approximately 130 km, or 80.8 miles, long. We will trek through Lukla, Namche, Dingboche, Base Camp, and back to Lukla. Although it sounds pretty challenging, you can do it because you only need to walk approximately 15 km (9.32 mi) per day. We will walk for eleven days to finish our trekking to Everest Base Camp. The trek’s shortest walk is between 3 and 4 kilometers, and the longest is 20 kilometers.
If you are planning a trek to Everest Base Camp, it is advised to prepare physically at least a couple of months ahead. Cardio exercises such as running, jogging, distance walking or swimming are highly recommended. Also, hiking near your place is a good way of building up your stamina, strength, and endurance.
